Cancellation and Refund Policy for Vocational Programs

A student may request a program cancellation at any time by telephone, email, or letter, but a written request is preferred. If a student chooses to withdraw from their academic vocational program, the following refund policy applies:

5 Day Full Refund Policy:

If a student decides to cancel their academic vocational program and notifies Lakewood College within five (5) days of signing their enrollment agreement, Lakewood College will provide the student with a full refund.

If a student decides to cancel their academic vocational program AFTER five (5) days of signing their enrollment agreement, BUT before any assignment/test has been submitted for evaluation, Lakewood College will provide the student with a full refund EXCEPT for the $125.00 registration fee.

Program Completion Refund Policy:

If a student decides to cancel their academic vocational program AFTER five (5) days of signing their enrollment agreement and after one or more assignment/test has been submitted for evaluation, Lakewood College will refund the student on a sliding scale determined by the student’s percent of program completion:

  • Upon completion of 10% of the program, the student is obligated to Lakewood College for the registration fee of $125.00, plus 10% of the total tuition and refundable fees.
  • Upon having completed more than 10% of the program, and up to and including completion of 25% of the program, the student is obligated to Lakewood College for the registration fee of $125.00, plus 25% of the total tuition refundable fees.
  • Upon having completed more than 25% of the program, and up to and including completion of 50% of the program, the student is obligated to Lakewood College for the registration fee of $125.00, plus 50% of the total tuition refundable fees.
  • Upon having completed more than 50% or more of the program, the student is obligated to Lakewood College for the total cost of tuition. Therefore, Lakewood College will issue no refund.

**Note about the percentage of program completion: Program completion is determined by the number of submitted lessons divided by the total number of lesson in the program.

Lakewood College will issue the appropriate refund to the student within thirty (30) days of program cancellation. If a student has an outstanding balance due on their account, Lakewood College will deduct that amount from any refund the student is eligible to receive. Students are not required to return any materials upon program cancellation. Students are not permitted to withdraw from a program after the original program end date—any exceptions must be approved by the Dean of Academic Services.
